Horsehair Pottery
Horsehair raku pottery is a decorative, alternative firing technique where strands of horsehair (or other organic materials) are applied to white-hot, unglazed ceramic ware, causing the hair to instantly burn and create unique, smoky carbon trails. The technique generally involves heating pots and pulling them from the kiln, and applying the hair to create intricate, black, squiggly line patterns
